Anthony Gavard is a French actor and director whose professional experience spans France and China. His screen work includes Bleeding Steel, When Africa Meets You and China Salesman.
He directed and appears in Le Laowaï (疯狂的外教), a comedy filmed in China about a French sports teacher, a teaching misunderstanding and an unexpected pétanque competition.
Comedy holds a special place in his work: lively characters, cultural misunderstandings and the humanity behind the humour. His experience across France and China shapes both his acting and his approach to directing.
Trained at Cours Florent, he also brings experience in theatre and stage combat to the screen.
His international screen experience includes appearances in Bleeding Steel and Kung Fu Yoga, two films starring Jackie Chan.
